CONGRATULATIONS TO STEVE BOUSQUET
The St. Petersburg Times has announced that Assistant Capitol Bureau Chief Steve Bousquet will assume the top job in November when Pulitzer Prize winner Lucy Morgan retires following 20 years in charge of the newspaper's Tallahassee bureau and 37 years with the Times.
Bousquet has been with the paper since 2001. Before joining the Times, he had written for the Miami Herald since 1984, and worked in it's Tallahassee bureau since 1993 including a stint as bureau chief.
Since Lucy is a fellow native of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, I wonder if she will head back to the Hub City to enjoy the good life. If she does, I hope she will enjoy a delicious meal of fried catfish, cole slaw, and hush puppies for me at one of the wonderful fish restaurants in the area...one of the things I really miss about the Magnolia State.
Congratulations and a shoutout to Steve to keep up the good work!
