CRIST WEIGHS IN ON MOSI EXHIBITION "BODIES"

Tampa's Museum of Science and Industry is planning to open "Bodies: The Exhibition" next Saturday, but that opening may be in jeopardy if Attorney General (and gubernatorial candidate) Charlie Crist has his way.

The AG agreed with the state's Anatomical Board that MOSI needs the board's approval before the exhibition, which is a collection of dramatically dissected and posed cadavers, can open.

The Anatomical Board wants the show's promoters to provide documentation that the donors consented for their bodies to be used in the exhibit. Premier Exhibitions says the bodies were unidentified and unclaimed, and therefore it would be impossible to satisify that request.

The six member board is expected to meet next week and decide on the matter.
