"THE BOSS" BACKING MILLER IN 11TH CD RACE

Writing in today's Sarasota Herald Tribune, political columnist Jeremy Wallace notes that New York Yankees owner George Steinbrinner is hoping to back another winner in Democratic State Senator/Minority Leader Les Miller (D - Tampa). Miller is seeking the 11th District congressional seat currently held by Jim Davis (D - Tampa), who is stepping aside to run for governor.

Steinbrinner lives in Tampa part-time, and has contributed to both Democratic and Republican candidates here, including both U.S. Senators Bill Nelson and Mel Martinez. The man many call "The Boss" has also supported Davis' previous runs for Congress.
