PALM BEACH MONEY GOING TO BLACK GOP EFFORT

Palm Beach County has been a traditional hotbed of Democratic politics, but there's plenty of Republican money floating around there as well. And some of that is going to a new GOP organization to help attract African-Americans to their party.

George Bennett of the Palm Beach Post writes this morning that the National Black Republican Association filed organizational papers last week, and has already raised about $25,000, mostly from the Palm Beach County area.

The group was formed by retired Army lieutenant colonel Frances Rice of Sarasota (who write the blog Black Republican), Palm Beach County GOP chairman Sid Dinerstein, and others in March.
