IF YOU THINK THESE HURRICANES TODAY WERE BAD...

Check out this post by the blog South of the Suwannee, which reminds us of a VERY active hurricane season back in 1780. An estimated 27,000 people died in the Caribeean and U.S. in four storms that his in October ALONE, about the equal populations of New York and Boston at the time.
