FROM THE "WHATEVER HAPPENED TO..." FILE

Remember Vonzell Solomon, Florida's claim to fame in the past season of "American Idol"? She was voted off in late May, the third place finalist in the talent competition.

Well, Vonzell is coming home...sort of, anyway...this week as the top ten "Idol" finalists begin a 41 city tour this week with shows in Sunrise tomorrow and Tampa on Wednesday.

The Fort Myers News-Press features it's hometown girl in a story today. The former postal worker said she is hoping to work on a record deal after the tour ends, along with doing some modeling and acting. In the shows, she is featured on three songs and opens the second half of the concert.

Here's wishing the best for her. Vonzell is a wonderfully talented performer, and hopefully will land a deal which will showcase her talents best.
