A FEW RANDOM TV NOTES FROM YOUR AMATEUR CRITIC

1) It was great to see House back on last night. It's the best show on television this season.

2) In a case of "been there, done that", the fifth (or is it the sixth) episode of The Apprentice has arrived, this time based in Los Angeles. There may be some residual reason for watching --- Trump's daughter is hot, and she's bright, too, but would you want to see her in a catfight with Rosie --- but after five rounds of this, you pretty much know what's going to happen.

3) NBC has pushed it's latest reality show like crazy. It's a search to find the leads of Danny and Sandy for a new Broadway production for the 70s hit musical Grease. I agree with Tampa Tribune TV critic Walt Beltcher who Tuesday wrote that while it does show some promise, "it pales in comparison with "American Idol" and has a been-there, done-that feel to it.
And really, how many times can viewers stand to hear "Hopelessly Devoted to You"?
