IS IT EL NINO, GLOBAL WARMING, OR JUST THE NORMAL PATTERN OF OUR WEATHER?

For a January it has been unusually warm here in Central Florida...more than 20 degrees warmer, to be exact. Sunday's high of 83 degrees tied a record at Tampa International Airport, and we reached 84 here in Lakeland. It felt more like late spring or early summer than the middle of winter, but that will end briefly tonight as a cold front comes through the area to give us a real taste of the proper season.

It's likely El Nino, the same reason we had such a quiet hurricane season in 2006. It's caused the weather throughout much of the nation to be soooo screwed up, but it's giving the tourists what they come down here for.
