WHERE IN THE WORLD IS...KATHERINE HARRIS

The St. Petersburg Times political blog The Buzz notes today that newly sworn-in congressman Vern Buchanan (R - Sarasota) has sought advice from a number of elected officials, at least fellow Republicans, including congressional collegue Adam Putnam (R - Bartow) and U.S. Senator Mel Martinez (R - Orlando).

But the auto dealer has not been able to talk to his predecessor in the 13th Congressional District seat, Katherine Harris.

The Buzz quotes Buchanan as saying, "I hear she's traveling Europe and having a good time.". He said that he would speak with the former lawmaker and Florida Secretary of State when she returns.

Maybe it will be a very extended vacation...
