GRIDIRON CHAMPIONS

While I'm not a huge Florida Gators fan, I'll extend congratulations to their football team on what turned out to be an exceptional a**-whuppin' of Ohio State last evening to become national champions of college football, but more than that. It makes the first time that the same university has ganed national titles in both football and men's basketball in the same season, a remarkable feat.

Ohio didn't seem to do too well in the post season. In addition to the Buckeyes' thrashing in the desert, Ohio University's Bobcats were handed a similar defeat the night before in the GMAC Bowl in Mobile at the hands of my beloved Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles.
