WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE NEWSPAPER POLITICAL BLOGS (UPDATED)???

I4J was wondering this morning about the apparant abandonment of at least some of Florida's newspaper political blogs. It looked as though, in at least a couple of cases, there had not been any posts in over two weeks.

I stand corrected.

Apparantly I had not updated the link to both The Buzz, established by the St. Petersburg Times, and Political Insider, the Sarasota Herald Tribune's blog run by political columnist Jeremy Wallace. Thanks to a couple of readers, they have been updated and it turns out that both had been --- and continue to be --- a regular source of political news with posts almost every day.

Others that are keeping a regular or semi-regular schedule online are:

Political Safari from the Tampa Tribune: Laura Fiorilli doesn't post every day, but has lately been keeping a regular schedule of sorts. Good to check out a couple of times a week.

If you want something more often, though, visit Q at the Palm Beach Post's website, or Central Florida Political Pulse from the Orlando Sentinel.

And now you can add Naked Politics to your list of reading. It is offered by the Miami Herald, and is written by political writer Beth Reinhard, Tallahassee Bureau Chief Mary Ellen Klas, state capitol writers Marc Caputo and Gary Fineout and Washington correspondent Lesley Clark.

Sorry for any misinformation, and thanks to Jim Johnson and the anonymous writer for their update and correction.

Check your link to The Buzz. They have had just as many postings as they always have.
