COMING TO VISIT THE MOUSE OR UNIVERSAL? MAKE SURE THE WALLET'S FAT OR THERE'S PLENTY OF $$$ ON THE CARD

Most people have heard that visiting the Walt Disney World parks has gotten a bit more expensive, as the price for a one day, one park pass was raised $4 to $67 last Sunday...the second time Disney has upped it's price this year.

If you did hear the news, and wanted to check out Universal Studios Florida as an alternative, you'll be disappointed. The company announced Friday that their one day, one park ticket prices are being upped to $67 as well.

The price increase will also affect prices on Universal's various other ticket packages, with the exception of it's two day, two park package that offers three free days and is available online; that will remain at $99.99...for now.

I've been here more than 16 years, and while my kids have enjoyed both resorts, I've never had the opportunity to do so...and certainly can't affort it now. Also, let me suggest that you read Mike Thomas' commentary in Thursday's Orlando Sentinel.
