MARTINEZ' U.S. SENATE CAMPAIGN BEING AUDITED BY FED

U.S. Senator Mel Martinez's 2004 campaign finances have been tangled for awhile, and now the Federal Election Commission is auditing it's records.

The FEC began inquiries two years ago, and a formal audit began over a year ago. While noone is discussing the investigation, it is focused on the amount of debt Martinez reported during and after his victory over Betty Castor.
