KATHERINE HARRIS TRULY NEEDS A REALITY CHECK

There's another story about Congresswoman Katherine Harris' efforts to unseat Democrat Bill Nelson from his U.S. Senate seat. While she does lead the Republican contenders for the right to face Nelson in November, many within the GOP leadership have made it clear that they do not believe she has the proverbial "snowball's chance in Hell" of defeating the incumbant.

It was revealed this week that the chairwoman of the Republican Party of Florida, along with the state's representatives to the Republican National Committee, sent a letter back in May informing Ms. Harris that the state party would not support her campaign. Governor Jeb Bush has also stated he does not believe she can win. And, of course, she has gone through three campaign managers and numerous senior staff members to date.

Even after all that, she's still a true believer that she can overcome and be the next United States Senator from Florida. She simply blames it on the "liberal media".

But that's OK. If she wants to lead the Republican train wreck at the polls in 95 days, so much the better. Maybe Charlie Crist, Tom Gallagher, and a few other key candidates down the ballot need to have a meeting with Ms. Harris, such as when friends and family members confront a alcohol or drug addict to make the individual realize that he/she has a problem that needs to be resolved.

It won't happen.
