WHO NEEDS ENEMIES WITH FRIENDS LIKE THESE

Pictured here is Congresswoman Katherine Harris (R - Longboat Key), former Corrections Secretary James Crosby, Jr.. At the far right is Crosby's close friend and protege, former Panhandle regional prison director Allen Clark. The two former corrections officials were indicted Wednesday on federal charges they took kickbacks from a prison vendor over several years.

Between Crosby and Clark is believed to be Ms. Harris' husband, millionaire businessman Anders Ebbeson.

It was noted in one of the stories Thursday that Crosby is a Republican. But it's no secret that he and Clark were politically active, and that a number of politicos of both major parties courted favour with the former Corrections head.
