FLORIDA DEMOCRATS ALMOST EQUAL GOP FUNDRAISING

Finally, some good news on the fundraising front: During the second quarter of this year (April through June), the Florida Democratic Party almost equaled their Republican counterparts, raising $2.5 million compared with the GOP's $3.1 million.

In a press release, the FDP highlighted that it would have actually surpassed the Republicans had it not been for the GOP's largest two donors: Morse Holding and Florida Power & Light (FP&L Customers: Now you know where at least SOME of your electric bill has been going to). Those two companies alone added $700,000 to the RPF coffers.
