A COUPLE OF DATES TO MARK ON YOUR CALENDAR

Florida is beginning to gain more attention, especially with the midterm elections only months ahead. Right now, fundraising is the major effort, and both major political parties are bringing out the big guns to fill the war chests.

U.S. Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D - NY) will be the honoured guest at the Florida Democratic Party's Victory '06 Reception to be held Thursday, February 26, at the Wyndham Westshore Hotel in Tampa. Tickets are only $100 each and will be available through the FDP's Web site.

Meanwhile, President Bush is scheduled to be at Disney World on February 17 to raise money for the Florida Republican Party. Needless to say, no information is available on their Web site, so I have to assume it is an "invitation only" affair. It seems as though he's been in Fantasyland for so long...
