SHOWING SOME NEW WRESTLING MOVES, EH???

I've always enjoyed professional wrestling. It can be, when well done, entertaining, funny, and provide some old fashioned good-versus-evil value lessons. When I worked as a radio personality during the 1980s in Mississippi, I earned some extra money as a crew member/ring announcer for the local wrestling promoter. Often times, it was as entertaining --- if not more so --- to watch the reactions of the fans than the show itself.

But that's not the story here. I thought it rather interesting that World Wrestling Entertainment Chairman Vince K. McMahon, Jr. could find himself in some real-life doo-doo after being accused of trying to kiss and grope a tanning salon worker last weekend in Boca Raton as the WWE was on the South Florida leg of it's tour.

According to the Boca Raton News Friday:

A clerk at the Tanzabar Salon on North Federal Highway accused Vincent K. McMahon, 60, of trying to kiss her and of running his hands over her body as she tried to clean the tanning bed he had just used.

The report said the 22-year-old woman pushed him away, "rejected his advances" and "walked out of the tanning room.

"Before using the tanning bed, the report said, McMahon asked the clerk to take several pictures of himself with his camera phone to send to his girlfriend. Then, the report said, he showed her nude and semi-nude photos of himself.

No charges have been filed, but other media reports have noted that the young woman has told police that she wants to persue charges against the 60-year old billionaire.

One other piece of information that could become pretty sticky for McMahon: The News story closed with the fact that the WWE chairman is reportedly seeking a divorce from his wife, Linda, who happens to be the corporation's CEO. With her certain keen financial knowledge of the business, combined with these latest allegations, 'ole Vince really made a mess of things for himself.

Maybe he can blame it on some 'roids...
