TALK ABOUT RIDICULOUS! REAL ESTATE BOOM GONE TO THE EXTREME!

Everyone knows by now that Florida --- at least, most of it --- is in the midst of another real estate boom. I thought that prices had gone through the roof, and knew that the declining number of rentals are demanding higher and higher rates. But mobile homes for six figures? And RV lots for a half million dollars?

The Miami Herald takes a look at prices in the Keys, where even nontraditional properties such as mobile homes and RV lots are commanding very high prices.

Yeah, it's the Florida Keys. But, IMHO, anyone who writes out a six figure check or takes out such a loan for a trailer or RV lot property --- which would likely be heavily damaged, if not destroyed, in a hurricane and would be difficult at best to get insurance for --- should be checked out for some type of mental disorder, if not held under the Baker Act (scarasm mine).
