So much for a nice start to the day: The first feeder band is approaching. The wind is beginning to gust pretty brisk about 25MPH now, and the rain should start anytime now. But 'til then the kids are still playing outside. My neighbour and her kids took the chance of staying with relatives in Winter Haven; a bad choice as they actually ended up closer to the centre of Charley, as they realized when a Wal Mart sign breezed past the building they were in. They've decided to stay in a downstairs apartment this time.

So much for the kids...they've been called in, and the rain is about to begin.
