Just got back from the 7-11 loaded down with eats and drinks to suffice through the festivities. Feel bad for all the poor schmucks who waited to the last minute and tried to get to the Home Depot; they're closed. The 7-11 is out of all but premimum gas, which seems to be the case at most places that have gas at all. But traffic along U.S. 98 near I-4 is just like a normal Saturday morning.

It really does seem like a regular Saturday in Central Florida: The sun is out, with a few clouds beginning to build. It's rather warm and humid, and you would think it would be good for a day at the pool or to take the kids to the park. But when you see the latest radar and see the feeder bands entering southeastern Polk County, you realize this is no normal Saturday.

BTW: My apologies that a link on an earlier post did not work. The links were to Florida DOT cameras stationed along Interstate 4 in Polk County that monitor traffic flows. It turns out that FDOT took down the equipment in anticipation of Frances, and the pictures shows were from earlier Thursday and were not live as they would be normally.
