RAINY WEATHER COULD AFFECT TURNOUT

I posted here a few days ago about a study recently completed which will be published next year in the Journal of Politics. It is the result of research on weather and voter turnout since 1948, and it suggests that rain and snow affect Democratic turnout more than it does for Republicans.

If that is true, then the weather forecast doesn't sound good for Election Day in Florida. Rain and thunderstorms are expected throughout the state, with only a 40 percent chance of afternoon showers in Southeast Florida to a nine in ten chance in the Eastern Panhandle. The farther north you head, the better the chance of showers and thunderstorms.
