I'M SURE A FEW FLORIDA BLOGGERS WISH THEY COULD BE IN LAS VEGAS THIS WEEKEND

Getting some national attention this weekend: The Yearly Koz gathering of around 800 progressive bloggers from around the nation being held at the Stratosphere Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas. As the name suggests, the event is hosted by the Daily Koz blog, and founder Markos Moulitsas Zuniga received a hero's welcome last evening.

The list of speakers or other guests scheduled for this weekend include retired general Wesley Clark, former governors Bill Richardson (NM) and Mark Warner (VA), and Democratic Party chairman Dr. Howard Dean.

MSNBC/NBC News' daily political blog First Read is keeping up with what's going on there, and NPR's afternoon news magazine All Things Considered did a feature about the event today.

It's definately time to begin getting ready for this fall...
