GALLAGHER CAMPAIGN FINALLY HAS A POLL HE CAN CROW ABOUT

State Chief Financial Officer Tom Gallagher and his gubernatorial campaign team are smiling today following the news that he won the straw poll held of members at the Florida Federation of Young Republicans spring convention last week in Tallahassee.

The Orlando Sentinel's John Kennedy writes in the newspaper's political blog Central Florida Political Pulse that while only 60 delegates bothered to participate in the unscientific vote, Gallagher won 81 percent to 19 percent for primary rival Attorney General Charlie Crist. So far in various polls Crist has held a dominating lead over the CFO, so any news is good news at this point.

You wrote "while only 60 delegates bothered to participate." 60 votes is the ENTIRE executive committee of the state YRs. Representing the local, regional and state leadership. To say "while only 60 delegates bothered to participate" is such a misleading statement.
