THE GRAMMY AWARDS

Dan MacMedan / USA Today

Unfortunately, I didn't watch much of the 3 1/2 hour telecast last night. I didn't get home until well over an hour into the show, and was just tired enough not to really pay much attention. I did get to see the latter part of the show's tribute to 60's soul/R&B band Sly and the Family Stone, in which the especially reclusive Sly Stone made an all too-brief appearance.

I really missed out on watching Mariah Carey, who is always great eye candy for this admitted male chauvenist pig, and what revealing outfit she would tease us poor guys with. At least we have the pic from USA Today above to drool over...
And, in case you missed it, 20 members of Florida A&M University's "Marching 100" band were invited to participate in a production number during the telecast featuring Kanye West and Jamie Foxx. This morning's Tallahassee Democrat features a piece describing the experience, and a nine-photo gallery of the performance.
