HARRIS WAS TO HAVE BEEN FEATURED LAST EVENING...WAS SHE?

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Katherine Harris was to have been featured in a piece for NBC Nightly News last evening. The interview was conducted while she was in Lakeland last Thursday for the "Politics in the Park" event.

As I was getting prescriptions refilled about that time, I didn't get to see wheather the segment aired. It may have been pushed off the broadcast, considering the then-still developing story of the tragic airplane crash in New York City which took the life of Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle (BTW: Lidle has local ties; his twin brother lives in Lakeland and works at the Lakeland Baseball Academy, next to my office).

She reportedly told correspondent Mark Potter that she feels she's isn't getting any support from the GOP leadership because "they can't control me.". We've heard that story before, eh?
