FIGHT ON TELEVISED POLITICAL DEBATE SHOW CAUGHT LIVE!

We all know that political discussions can occasionally become heated as emotions come into play, but over the weekend it took a "Jerry Springer"-type turn over the weekend during a televised debate between adult entertainment king and Democratic Hillsborough County Commission candidate Joe Redner and Republican Internet talk show host Tony Katz.

There is no love lost between Redner and Katz, who had appeared on the Tampa Community Television political debate show "The Bleeping Truth" together a couple of times previously. The executive producer/host, Chris Krimitsos, told the Tampa Tribune that the two men dislike each other so much that they refuse to speak to each other before or after the show.

The pair had been discussing Israel when they began exchanging personal insults, with Katz calling Redner a liar. When Redner responded by calling Katz fat, Katz picked up a stool and tossed it at his nemesis, striking Redner on his back, forearm, and head.

Redner says he won't press charges or pursue legal action. "I kind of got a forgiving nature," Redner said. "He's not worth being bothered about."

Krimitsos says certain procedures need to be addressed before the two can debate on the show again.

If you're in Tampa and want to see a replay of the event, you can on Wednesday evening at 6:00 on Tampa Community Television on Bright House Cable.
