HEY, GUYS: TELL US SOMETHING WE DON'T ALREADY KNOW!

Sarasota Herald-Tribune political columnist Jeremy Wallace is keeping an eye on the "Art of Political Campaigning" seminar being held this week in Washington, presented by the political insiders' magazine Campaigns and Elections.

In his Political Insider blog, Jeremy highlights comments made by top political pollster John Zogby. In his remarks the President/CEO of Zogby International said that the strategy made famous by White House political guru Karl Rove of courting the hardcore base of a political party is ending. Zogby stated that what President Bush has learned from the experience is that once you've spent a significant time courting that extreme faction, it's hard to govern from the center. That is where most Americans are politically, and candidates will win by getting those voters.

And Jeremy has some notes from a panel discussion Thursday on the 2008 presidential campaign.
