Governor Jeb Bush's black Labrador, Marvin, lost his battle with cancer Wednesday. He was 11.

The dog was considered a star at governor's mansion events, and even without a leash was always at Jeb's side during their morning walks. Gubernatorial spokesperson Alia Faraj said that he loved to eat almost anything, and especially enjoyed retreving balls.

Marvin was first seen by many Floridians in a 1998 campaign advertisment.
