MORE EVIDENCE YOU GOTTA WATCH WHAT YOU WRITE ON A BLOG

Arts columnist Gina Vivinetto, who wrote for the St. Petersburg Times' tabliod publication tbt, was forced to resign after it was discovered that she had posted several messages on a faux MySpace.com site making fun of conservative Hillsborough County Commissioner Ronda Storms.

Ms. Vivinetto had been with the Times for 16 years, previously as the newspaper's music critic.

According to the Times' Executive Editor, Neil Brown, her actions "irreparably compromised her credibility as a journalist for our company."

Tommy at the blog Sticks of Fire apparantly knows Ms. Vivinetto, and e-mailed to ask for her side of the story. He prints much of her response.

She says she will focus on the art gallery/cafe she owns in St. Petersburg.
