DNC CHAIRMAN DEAN COMING TO FLORIDA

Democratic National Committee Chairman and former presidential candidate Dr. Howard Dean scrapped plans to hold the party's fall meeting and fundraising event in Jacksonville this week due to Hurricane Katrina, but he will still be in the Sunshine State today. The former Vermont governor will speak to a gathering of the National Baptist Convention in Miami today about, according to a press release from the DNC, "the values of the Democratic Party on social and economic justice". He will also discuss the aftermath of the Katrina disaster.
