THE PICTURE AIN'T ALTERED...SHE'S JUST DAMN UGLY!
Congresswoman and U.S. Senate candidate-to-be Katherine Harris claimed during an interview with conservative talk host Sean Hannity on his radio programme Monday that newspapers "colourized" her photograph to highlight her makeup.
Tampa Tribune political writer William March has a story today making note that when asked Tuesday to point out an altered picture, the Longboat Key Republican and her staff could not. During the radio interview, Harris declined to name specific newspapers which allegedly altered her photo.
Altering a photographic image is considered a serious ethical breach among newspapers, and is generally banned.
One notable political analyst mentioned that most Americans got their image of Harris through television.
"Of course it wasn't newspapers, it was television,'' said Larry Sabato, a political scientist (and founder of the Center for Politics) at the University of Virginia. ``I can remember watching her and thinking she learned all the wrong makeup lessons from Al Gore in the debates.''
Maybe her mama just didn't teach her to put on makeup right...
