APPARANTLY THE GIRL DIDN'T GET A SLICE

The Lakeland Ledger has a story this morning of a substitute school bus driver who was fired this week after it was learned she made a stop during one of her runs...at a Hungry Howies' in a Davenport convenience store. Two of the middle school students walked in and purchased two pizzas; the manager said he was not aware they had gotten off a school bus.

One of the students on the bus called her mom on her cellular phone, saying she became scared when the driver told the students to duck down while the boys went in to get the pizzas. Mom arrived and followed the bus after it left, saying everyone who got off the bus had a slice of pizza in hand.

The bus driver was hired less than a month ago.
