STATE HOUSE LEADERSHIP CHANGES ANNOUNCED

In a rather quiet move Monday, Florida House Speaker Marco Rubio (R - Coral Gables) made a couple of promotions among the body's leadership following the defeat of Rep. Dennis K. Baxley (R - Ocala) in a close race for a State Senate seat.

Current House Majority Leader Marsha L. "Marty" Bowen (R - Haines City) will become Speaker Pro Tempore, the position Baxley vacates, while Rep. Adam Hasner (R - Delray Beach) moves up to fill Bowen's former position.
