AND THE RECOMMENDATION GOES TO...

Before I reveal today's newspaper endorsements, I apoligize for the fact that this post is so late. Apparantly Blogspot, the host server for this blog, was experiencing some problems this morning which did not allow me to post anything. While I have read occasional complaints about Blogspot, I've had very few negative experiences during the two-plus years that I4J has been in existance. It's just a minor bump in the road.

In Fort Lauderdale, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel offers two recommendations for Cabinet level races. It's recommendation for Attorney General goes to Democratic attorney and State Senator Walter G. "Skip" Campbell, Jr., while Republican incumbant Charles Bronson gets the nod for reelection as Secretary of Agriculture & Consumer Services.

Two newspapers concentrated on Tampa Bay area congressional contests.

The Tampa Tribune endorses:

--- In the Fifth District, incumbant Republican Virginia "Ginny" Brown-Waite.
--- In District 9, Democrat Phyllis Busansky.
--- In the 11th District, Hillsborough County Commissioner Kathy Castor.
--- And in the 12th District, GOP incumbant Adam Putnam.

The Sarasota Herald Tribune recommends:

--- In the 11th Congressional District, Democrat Kathy Castor.
--- In District 13, Democrat Christine Jennings
--- And in District 14, Republican incumbant Connie Mack IV.
