PROGRESSIVE ACTIVISTS MEET THURSDAY IN LAKELAND

For the past four years (it's been THAT LONG already???) a group of progressive politicial activists from throughout the I-4 corridor have been holding monthly meetings in Lakeland as a means of providing support and working together across county and other political boundries in a common effort. While it has had it's ups and downs, it seems to be back up in anticipation of the midterm elections.

What is simply known as the "I-4 Corridor Group" will hold it's March meeting this Thursday evening (March 16) at 7:30 at the First Baptist Institutional Church, 932 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive at the corner of Memorial Boulevard in downtown Lakeland.

This month, the featured presenter will be Ms. Pat Crow, a retired family practitioner and former instructor at Michigan State University. Her programme is entitled "Propaganda, Republican Spins and Rovian Myths".

If you have an hour or two Thursday evening, please come. You'll have the chance to meet some interesting, like-minded people from throughout West Central Florida. If you have any questions, contact Karen Landers in Winter Haven at (863) 299-7474.
