ON THE SUNDAY CHAT SHOWS

One can imagine that the major subjects to be discussed on most, if not all the chat shows this week, will be the continuing flap over Dubai Ports World and it's possible takeover of management operations at terminals in six U.S. ports, as well as President Bush's trip to India and Pakistan.

ABC / This Week with George Stephanopoulos: Speaking about the ports controveresy: U.S. Senator Susan Collins (R - ME) and Congressman Duncan Hunter (R - CA). Also scheduled: 2004 presidential candidate and former NATO commanding General Wesley Clark (Ret.) will discuss his aspirations for the 2008 campaign. The roundtable will consist of former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich, Bill Sammon of the Washington Times, and conservative columnist George Will.

CBS / Face The Nation with Bob Schieffer: As of 7:44 AM ET Saturday morning, CBS News has not posted the list of guests for tomorrow's broadcast. The Website still has the guest list for the February 19th programme.

CNN / Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer: NATO Supreme Allied Commander General James Jones and Iraqi parliment member/former foreign minister Adnan Pachachi will be the guests.

FOX / Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace: The likelihood of possible civil war in Iraq will be discussed with General Peter Pace, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Also, former Federal Emergency Management Agency director Michael Brown will continue to put his spin on the issue of his and his agency's actions during and after Hurricane Katrina.

NBC / Meet the Press with Tim Russert: General Peter Pace will appear here as well to discuss the situation in Iraq. Then, former U.S. Senators and vice presidential candidates John Edwards (D - NC) and Jack Kemp (R - NY) have teamed up to co-chair the Council on Foreign Relations' independent task force on Russian-American Relations, and they will preview their upcoming report as well as discuss current events.

Syndicated / The Chris Matthews Show: The roundtable will include the usual suspects: Katty Kay of the BBC, Time magazine's Joe Klein, NBC News' Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent Andrea Mitchell, and David Brooks of the New York Times. They are scheduled to discuss Iraq and it's possibilities for civil war, and wheather this year's Academy Award nominees for Best Picture is in reality a political showdown.
