DID I REALLY MISS SOMETHING? NAH!

Apparently Wednesday after I left for work the weather folks down in Coral Gables noted a new tropical storm off the Atlantic coast of Florida, naming it Tammy. It was a minimal storm at best, and has now made landfall and is rumbling through south-central Georgia.

However, looking at the Tropical Weather Outlook, here is something to keep watch of:

A LOW PRESSURE AREA ALONG A TROPICAL WAVE IS LOCATED ABOUT 1300 MILES EAST OF THE SOUTHERN WINDWARD ISLANDS AND IS MOVING WESTWARD AT ABOUT 20 MPH. THIS SYSTEM CONTINUES TO GRADUALLY ORGANIZE...AND UPPER LEVEL WINDS APPEAR CONDUCIVE FOR ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT.

It's still quite a ways from us, but we have to remember that the hurricane season ain't over yet!
