WATCHING AND WAITING
Dennis has become a big boy down in the Carribean, with highest sustained winds of 135 MPH...a catagory four storm. While the forecasts models continue to keep the main body of Dennis well away from us, a tropical storm advisory has been posted for West Central and Southwest Florida.
People are apparantly not taking any chances; the folks down in Charlotte and Lee counties learned that lesson only too hard last year. The local media is reporting that people are heading to stores in an effort to pick up supplies before they run out.
This afternoon I'll be sure to call my sister back home in Mississippi. Dennis' projected path takes it inland around Mobile/Pensacola this weekend.
