IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING THIS WEEKEND...

It's Mother's Day weekend, so that means Lakeland's annual Mayfaire-by-the-Lake arts festival is taking place along Lake Morton near downtown.

It is one of Central Florida's largest arts events, and will attract over 200 exhibitors from across the country representing many forms of work.

Along with the booths where you can view --- and buy --- the artist's creations, a variety of musicians will be performing among the booths.

It runs today and tomorrow from 10AM until 5PM, and admission is free. And with today's weather forecast promising excellent conditions, it should make for a wonderful outing.

And while I'm mentioning downtown Lakeland, I did not realize that the City of Lakeland had Wi-Fi capability. Anyone with a laptop and a 802.11b Wi-Fi card or Wi-Fi equipped PDA can surf the net for free in downtown!
