PRIMETIME LIVE EXPOSE NOT AS EXPLOSIVE AS MANY BELIEVED

Yes, I watched ABC News' Primetime Live broadcast last night which promised to expose details on the current scandal concerning the FOX hit American Idol, specifically an alleged improper relationship between former contestant Corey Clark and celebrity judge Paula Abdul while he was on the show. Clark was disqualified from American Idol two years ago for not informing the producers of previous legal problems.

Frankly, there was nothing really new or extremely explosive revealed, as ABC had "let the cat out of the bag" in promoting the program.

That said, don't look for Ms. Abdul to return next season. Fox and 19 Entertainment, the British production company which owns the Idol franchise worldwide, have to replace her as a means of restoring some intregity to the program. I know, some of you reading this may laugh at the "intregity" bit, but if the producers and network hope to keep their cash cow running strong, they have to keep it away from scandal as much as possible. While the question of a sexual relationship between Abdul and Clark will never be truly known, enough of an improper relationship in the context of the show has been shown to bring in a new female judge next season.

BTW: My pick for the two finalists are...Fort Myers' own Vonzell Solomon and rocker Bo Bice from Alabama. The season was basically ruined when Tampa's Jessica Sierra and the other rocker, Constantine Maroulis, were voted off.
