TAKING THE EASY WAY OUT...EVEN IN SPORTSWRITING

Of course, you've heard a couple of cases over the past year where reporters have been accused and eventually fired for plagiarism. Now it's apparantly happened in the area of sportswriting.

According to this article in Editor and Publisher, the Worcester Telegram & Gazette in Massachuettes has summonded home New England Patriots beat writer Ken Powers from the Super Bowl festivities in Jacksonville after learning that an article he wrote may have been plagiarized from a Peter King column which appeared on Sports Illistruated Web site.

Where will such controveresy in media pop up next?
