DO YOU REALLY NEED TWO WAL-MART SUPERCENTERS SOOOOO CLOSE?????

An interesting question, so say the least. But it could happen, at least in Winter Haven.

There are already five Wal-Mart Supercenters in Polk County: In Lakeland, Bartow, Haines City, Mulberry, and Auburndale. The Bentonville, Arkansas based bemouth is in the process of expanding it's existing store on Cypress Gardens Boulevard to a Supercenter by early next year. Only about five miles away, also on Cypress Gardens Boulevard, a new Supercenter has been announced to be built across from the State Farm Insurance Florida Regional Headquarters.

God help the small mon 'n pop businesses in south Winter Haven.

It seems absolute lunacy to have 2 Walmart Supercenters in Winter Haven and the NewsChief asked just this question this morning. I suppose they have done the demographic studies. The East side of Polk is in a housing boom right now which is really frightening considering Polk is losing $4100.00 in impact with every house coming out of the ground right now.
